Downtown Ordinances Now Easily Available
by Thomas Leavitt (thomas [at] thomasleavitt.org)

Four PDFs, one for each page of the downtown ordinances flyer that Robert Norse has been passing out to educate people for the past several years.

Download and print these, then stick them in your back pocket. When a police officer warns or cites you or someone around you about violating one of them, pull it out and ask him to name the specific section and how it applies. Often the police officers are as confused about how to apply these as the rest of us. Note: there have been some minor changes since the document was produced, as I recall. Perhaps someone with a better memory can comment on that?

A text version of these will be posted as soon as I can edit the OCR output appropriately.

9.10.030 (d) now reads "By using abusive language as part of the solicitation or following a refusal that is directed at the specific individual or individuals being solicited". Can you make the change on indybay and on the HUFF website. Thanks for those two postings.
